Channel Court Shopping – Public Realm overlays, Tasmania
We have had the opportunity at Channel Court Shopping Centre in Kingston, Tasmania, to undertake a variety of public realm projects to activate unused spaces, turning them into civic loungerooms, that increase dwell time & encourage sociability & interaction.
These spaces include:
- Closed off road that has been transformed into a vibrant outdoor area that includes seating, games & can be programmed for outdoor events such as outdoor cinema & seasonal celebrations.
- Parents Room upgrade, that raised the star rating from a 3 star to a 5 star (max rating) with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.
We are currently working on 2 new additional public realm spaces including an outdoor piazza area & major carpark entry point.
