The Three Fishes team were an integral part of the team that helped with the success of Ed Square Town Centre. Initially appointed in the early stages, they worked closely with the Development team to develop our leasing strategy to define the look and feel of the different precincts throughout the Centre. Once established, they wrote & created the precinct Style Guides, which were an integral tool that were successfully carried forward into the development. As the Retail Design Managers appointed for the development they excelled at striking the sometimes tenuous balance between elevated design and cost pressures, advocating for quality design throughout all tenancies. This is now is now paying dividends for the retailers. As the development progressed it was identified that there was further design development required for the mall interiors. Kate & her team were engaged to review and advise on suitable detailing and finishes to add layering to the public realm, to achieve the vision Frasers Property had for the project. This included the design of a number of aesthetic elements to elevate the experience such as Travelator graphics / entrances and nodal junctions of the mall. We also had a vision to create a children’s playground that would act as an attractor and help activate a weaker portion of the mall, and our original designer wasn’t meeting the brief. Three Fishes were engaged and immediately understood the brief and our vision and work within a defined budget to deliver a design which maximises the potential of the space. The playground is now a destination within the Centre, and has been shortlisted as well as winning several significant Australian Design industry awards. Our experience working with Three Fishes on Ed Square has been an extremely positive experience and has forged a partnership that we are carrying through to future developments within the Frasers Property Portfolio.

For over 20 years, Abacus Property have been working alongside Three Fishes Interior Design where they have been undertaking the Retail Design Management Role for our NSW assets. When I was recently appointed as General Manager of Leasing, one of my responsibilities was to streamline the design & delivery process and enhance the quality of fit outs across all of our assets.
